About Programme

Month 1: Foundations of Teaching

In the first month, establish a strong foundation for your teaching practice by setting goals and learning through observing your mentor’s teaching style, class structure and methodology. Dive into the basics of lesson planning, curating class structure, cueing and alignment. Practise by leading portions of the class under your mentor’s supervision, receiving constructive feedback to help refine your approach and performance. By the end of the month, you will have a clear understanding of class sequencing to develop an effective class with ongoing support from your mentor.

Month 2: Building Confidence and Presence

In the second month, the focus shifts to enhancing your confidence and presence as a teacher. Find your authentic teaching voice and build a confident presence through targeted class exercises. Learn hands-on assisting techniques, explore how to integrate meaningful themes into your classes, and adapt your teaching for diverse populations. This month also deepens your understanding of alignment principles while refining advanced teaching skills. Explore creative class offerings and receive an introduction to the business side of yoga, including marketing and branding strategies from your mentor.

Month 3: Refinement and Expertise

In the final month, refine your skills by engaging with the PURE Yoga community, developing your own workshops and clarifying your teaching philosophy. Get the opportunity to lead a full class with detailed feedback from your mentor to create your signature sequence. The programme concludes with a final assessment, graduation celebration and guidance on your next steps as a yoga teacher.
