Grounding: Hatha
A non-vinyasa based asana practice focused on connecting the body and mind with the purpose of increasing awareness and stability. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. Suitable for intermediate yoga practitioners with a consistent practice. This class builds on the necessary body stability acquired in Foundation Level classes to take on more challenging asanas and sequences. Classes are taught with modifications to allow an easy transition from Foundation Level to Mixed Level. Full inversions may be included in these classes.
Grounding: Hatha Foundation
A non-vinyasa based asana practice focused on connecting the body and mind with the purpose of increasing awareness and stability. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. Suitable for students with some yoga experience looking to have an invigorating experience. No full inversions are included in these classes. Some preparations for inversions and Mixed Level postures may be introduced, with options for Foundation Level students to ease the transition to Mixed Level classes.
Grounding: Hatha Gentle (Pre-Natal Friendly)
A non-vinyasa based asana practice focused on connecting the body and mind with the purpose of increasing awareness and stability. This style is gentle on the body and focuses on alignment. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. Suitable for students with some yoga experience looking for an invigorating experience. No core, deep twists or full inversions are included in these classes. Some props will be used for prenatal participants.
Grounding: Hatha Advanced
A non-vinyasa based asana practice focused on connecting the body and mind with the purpose of increasing awareness and stability. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. Suitable for advanced yoga practitioners. Students must have attended Mixed Level classes on a consistent basis and have the necessary body stability and awareness to take on advanced. Ability to kick into handstand (at the wall) and do wheel pose (Urdhva Dhanurasana) with arms straight is required for this class.
