Healing: Meditation
Mindfulness Meditation is a practice that involves being fully present, rather than dwelling on the past or feeling anticipation for the future. It is being aware of where we are and what we are doing in each and every moment. During this class, students will be guided through different mindfulness techniques to release stress, anxiety and negative emotions. This practice will help practitioners discover that peace and happiness already lie within. Suitable for students seeking to deepen their yoga practice at a spiritual level, and those interested in infusing peace and harmony into their relationship to their own self, their family and everyone around them. Beginners and experienced practitioners are all welcome.
Healing: Mindful Yoga
Mindful Yoga is a gentle yet invigorating practice that combines the mental practice of mindfulness with physical asana practice. In this class, you will be introduced to mindfulness then guided into a series of yoga postures designed to help you cultivate self-awareness and present moment focus. The class will end with a body scan, designed to help you reconnect with your physical body with an attitude of kindness and compassion. Sheryl is currently on the teacher pathway for Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with Brown University. MBSR is an evidence-based programme offering secular meditation practices to help people manage the stressors of daily life. Suitable for all students looking for a calming mindful practice.
