This 7-hour workshop over 2 days covers the fundamental movements of Powerlifting: Squat, Bench, and Deadlift (SBD).
 
Participants will learn the basics of SBD, identify the most optimal form and technique suited to their individual leverages, how to optimize their performance and gain a brief insight into RPE (Rating of Perceived Exertion)-based programming. Not only will you learn how to train effectively in a safe and guided environment, you will also be equipped with the skills to spot your training partner safely.
 
Through Farhanna’s guidance, participants will build the mental fortitude that will allow them to consistently push themselves beyond their comfort zones and break their own glass ceilings. It serves to not only establish a strong foundation for lifting weights but also empower participants with the knowledge of their own bodies, movement, and confidence under physically demanding situations.

– Basics (how to lift safely, brace, joint stack and establish midfoot pressure)
– Debunk common misconceptions/myths
– Practical: SBD (training at lighter intensity)
 
Day 2: Optimisation and Testing
– Bonus tips (How to warm up and set up optimally)
– Form and Technique Troubleshooting
– Introduce momentum
– Basics of programming (RPE system)
– Practical: 1 rep max testing
