About the Workshop

Exploring the Lungs and Large Intestine Meridians: A Journey to Self-Care and Wellness

In this workshop, we delve into the significance of studying the Lungs and Large Intestine Meridians, particularly in the context of addressing prevalent health concerns like cancer in Singapore. By understanding these meridians, participants can empower themselves with self-care practices rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), fostering holistic wellness and a deeper appreciation for TCM principles.

During the first hour of the workshop, we embark on a journey through the history, theory, and fundamentals of TCM. We explore the intricate network of meridians, the vital energy pathways that form the foundation of TCM philosophy. Special emphasis is placed on the Lungs and Large Intestine Meridians, shedding light on their role in maintaining health and balance within the body.

In this interactive segment, participants engage in partnered activities aimed at deepening their understanding of the meridian pathways. Through guided exercises, they gain firsthand experience of the flow of energy along the Lungs and Large Intestine Meridians, fostering a tactile connection to the theoretical knowledge gained earlier.

Following the partnering session, participants embark on a transformative 90-minute Meridian Yin and Nidra class. This gentle practice, specifically tailored to target the Lungs and Large Intestine Meridians, invites participants to surrender into deep relaxation while harmonizing the energy flow within their bodies.By aligning theory with practice, this workshop offers a holistic approach to wellness, empowering participants to embark on a journey of self-discovery and holistic healing through the wisdom of TCM

Jasen Tay
Jasen discovered yoga in 2015 after experiencing severe stress while working in a bank. Being encouraged by his mentor, Martin, to take up his first yoga class and felt lighter physically and mentally. Jasen decided to attend a Yoga Teacher Training Course conducted by his next mentor, Dr. Vyankatesh Reddy, and learned that yoga practice should consist of poses that are proven good for our bodies.
